Faded Reality

I look out my window,
I could almost see us there.
Holding eachother tight,
underneath the pale moonlight.
You're whispering something in my ear.
I lean in closer to see if I can hear.
Then I blink and it all disappears.
I lay in my bed,
Trying to count the sheep in my head.
All I can see is you smiling face,
Looked so real my heart started to race.
I reached out my hand,
But nothing was there.
I was still alone in my bed.
I feel like crying,
Knowing I love you so much,
Yet I've never felt your touch.

Dreams Come True

Sometimes I dream I can feel your arms around me,
Holding me, saying it'll be all right.
Others, it's your laugh
At just the right moment
But most of the time,
It's my head on your chest when I'm falling asleep at night.
I know it's all been a dream,
Because when I wake up, I'm alone.
Illusions can't get me by.
I need physical strength,
A loving smile,
A soul mates kind of love...

If I Told You Today..

If I told you today I love you...
Would you doubt the words I say?
Would you go silent not knowing what to say?
Or would you have already known without me having to say a word?

If I told you today I loved you..
Would you be worrying about the tone of my voice?
Or the stuttering of my words?
Or would you understand it's hard to voice these feelings aloud?

If I told you today I loved you..
Would you wonder about my meaning of love?
Would you think I couldn't really mean it?
Or would you know that I meant it heart and soul?

If I told you today I loved you...
Would you be afraid to commit?
Would you be scared of what it might do to us?
Or would you simply say.. " I love you too"
